Beginners Sewing Classes
This is a four week course, three hours per session.
In a small group of a maximum of six people you will be guide weekly in learning different sewing skills and put these together to make a lined shopping bag with various useful pockets.
You will gain confidence at the sewing machine and gain transferrable skills
The course covers
• different types of seams, to include the French seam, Flat Felled and Plain
• Different seam finishes, to include Hong Kong finish, zig zag
• Lined patch pocket with flap
• Top Stitching
• Gathering a curved seam
• Making a buttonhole using the sewing machine
• Pressing skills
• Jetted pocket
